Global Procurement Manager (USA Shift)
Responsibilities:
- Lead Planning & Procurement COE: Direct the development and operations of the Planning & Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) team to provide actionable insights. Collaborate with operational leaders to enhance supply chain effectiveness continuously.
- Collaboration with Factory Leaders: Work with factory leaders and global operations team members to transform planning and procurement activities for improved on-time delivery and inventory turnover.
- Define Scope and KPIs: Define the scope and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the COE team in alignment with operational leaders.
- KPI Alignment: Ensure COE team activities align with meaningful KPIs and establish a cadence of operating mechanisms to maintain focus.
- End-to-End Procurement Responsibility: Oversee all stages of product or component procurement, including assessment, selection, and ongoing management.
- Supply Readiness Escalation: Serve as an escalation point for supply readiness and assurance issues, escalating as necessary to sponsors.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and improve overall supply chain effectiveness, from high-level problems to component and raw materials levels.
- Alternate Material Assessment: Work with R&D or Engineering teams to identify appropriate alternates by specification and determine material availability in the market.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 12-15 years in a Procurement role.
- SAP Knowledge: Experience or knowledge of SAP, including materials management processes and data management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in materials management, engineering, supply chain, or related field.
- Global Project Management: Proven experience in global project management.
- Engineering Understanding: Ability to understand engineering design documents and compare specifications for alternates.
- Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive working relationships and making decisions against tight deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation abilities.
- Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Priority Management: Ability to manage priorities and critical responsibilities effectively.
- Learning Orientation: Willingness and ability to learn continuously.
- Culture Development: Drive a culture of learning and high performance.
Special Requirements/Skills/Attributes:
