- Providing leadership, strategic direction to the payroll team and ensuring efficient and high quality services to employees
- Ability to manage relationships effectively, with internal stakeholders and ability to influence and implement effectively in a matrix environment
- Ensure all payroll related risks are highlighted and managed through operational risk framework process.
- Providing proactive leadership and direction to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll.
- Initiating & implementing service quality initiatives to improve productivity / accuracy / turnaround times.
- To manage Payroll operations of the group as per company's policies, procedures and agreed Service Level agreements
- Responsible for overall performance of payroll operations with regards to accuracy, timeliness, compliance and employee experience for the geographic payrolls processed or manage.
- Understanding and maintaining required Company Group's Standards of compliance and risk control.
- Ensure end to end transitioning of payroll and related processes seamlessly into the Shared Services Centre.
- Manage all aspects of payroll team staffing by monitoring the workloads of the team and oversee new hire recruitment, negotiation and on boarding process
- Establishing and maintaining a close working relationship with the Country Teams in the - spoke- countries to ensure that service issues are promptly escalated and acted on.
- Oversee internal and external audits as it relates to payroll.
