Global Chief Financial Officer - Educational Industry - MBA(Finance)/CA

Overview:
As the Global Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Global, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and strategies across all campuses worldwide. Reporting directly to the President, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the school while supporting its mission of providing high-quality education and research opportunities on a global scale.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with SP Jain Global' s mission, goals, and values.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the President, Board of Trustees, and senior leadership team.
- Evaluate financial performance regularly and make recommendations for improvement.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Oversee the budgeting process for all campuses, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop long-term financial forecasts to support decision-making and resource allocation.
- Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
3. Financial Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Prepare financial statements, annual reports, and other financial documents for internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate financial results and insights to senior leadership and the Board of Trustees.
4. Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks facing the school and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Monitor emerging financial risks and proactively address them to protect the school's financial integrity.
5. Investment Management:
- Oversee the school's investment portfolio, including endowment funds and other assets.
- Develop investment policies and strategies to optimize returns while managing risks appropriately.
- Monitor investment performance and collaborate with investment advisors to achieve long-term financial sustainability.
6. Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow effectively to support ongoing operations and strategic initiatives.
- Optimize capital structure and financing arrangements to minimize costs and maximize flexibility.
- Implement treasury best practices to enhance liquidity management and mitigate financial risks.
7. Compliance and Ethics:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct throughout the finance organization.
- Provide leadership on ethical and compliance issues, fostering a culture of accountability and responsibility.
8. Team Leadership:
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing finance team capable of supporting the school's strategic objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance organization.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to finance staff members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA, CFA, CA, or similar professional certification highly desirable.
- Proven experience (ideally 15+ years) in financial leadership roles, preferably within higher education or a complex multinational organization.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Sound knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations, with a commitment to ethical conduct and integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
- Flexibility to travel internationally as needed to visit campuses and engage with stakeholders.
