About our Client - Our client is a rapidly growing global biopharmaceutical company that combines groundbreaking science with a steadfast commitment to meeting the needs of patients living with severe, life-threatening and often ultra-rare diseases. It engages in the discovery, development, and commercialization of biologic therapeutic products in the United States, Europe, Latin America, Japan, and the Asia Pacific. After New York and Geneva, our client has started their regional center of excellence for the Australia and Asia region in Mumbai. They are looking for sharp accounting professionals to expand operations.

Job Description - Reporting to Director - Finance your primary responsibility will be to apply accounting principles and procedures to ensure appropriate accounting control procedures are followed. This will include:

- Maintain General Ledger accounts and related activities for the preparation of financial statements

- Comply with central/federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions Maintain financial security by following internal controls

- Maintenance of Master data Support statutory audit and coordinate the audit process

- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses

- Ensure consistent implementation of accounting and finance policies

- Implement in-house SAP systems and closing process

- Support compliance with accounting standards and policies, as well as compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley

The Successful Candidate -

- Ideally you are a CA (rank holder preferable) with strong 4-6 years experience in global captive units, BPOs or Pharma companies.

- Apart from your understanding of accounting principals, you are entrepreneurial by nature and have also demonstrated team building skills.

- You are currently located in Mumbai and are open to occasional travel to US, Europe and Australia.
