The Global Account Manager is responsible for driving overall growth and account management of an existing customer base by increasing account penetration, increasing sales revenue, and tracking and managing delivery and support issues.
- The focus is on building relationships with existing client contacts & partners by identifying new sales opportunities and exceeding customer expectations
- Strong experience in account management and sales with multi-national enterprises & partners
- Currently selling Managed Network Services, Infrastructure Management Services, Hosting Services and Cloud-based Services a must
- Service Provider or System Integrator or Telecommunications experience a must
- Proven track record of farming, creating new opportunities, and growing customer relationships within existing customer base
- Pre-sales/bid-team experience including creation of SOWs, presentations, response to RFI/RFP etc.,
- In depth knowledge of Managed Network, Security and IT infrastructure Management Services
- Solid understanding of Global WAN Services (e.g., MPLS, VPN, Internet Access, Security)
- Strong negotiation and closing skills to negotiate long term business contracts
- Exceptional relationship management skills at the 'C' level
- Well versed in client relations, offering the highest level of service and professional conduct
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Flexibility to meet changing deadlines or priorities
- Ability to work off business hours and different time zones as needed
- Need to be mobile and prepared for international travel
- Self-starter/Self-motivated, team player
Responsibilties:
- Lead business development activities with our clients and channel partners to identify customer opportunities
- Drive new sales revenue with existing customer base by proposing product solutions to continually drive customer satisfaction, retain and grow revenues for company
- Develop a large list of sellers within the channel partner’s sales organization
- Leadership role in tracking opportunities, and working with internal groups to assemble the appropriate technical/business team needed to convert the opportunity to a win
- Strong ability to negotiate commercial arrangements and facilitate contract negotiations with partners
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, especially for working with both commercial and technical audiences
- Conduct frequent business reviews of services with customers including with ‘C’ level executives
- Handle contract renewals with existing customers
- Act as liaison with implementation team and operations team for customer; also single point of escalation to address customer issues and customer retention
- Solve customer issues on all levels
- Manage and exceed customer expectations
Training and Certification Required:
- Having Cisco, Juniper or other network security related certifications would be plus
Experience: Minimum 10 years
Education: BE/B-Tech with MBA
Technical and Other Skills:
- Preferred if Technical training has been done on Network services, MPLS, IPsec, Network security, IP routing, basic data networking, cloud services etc.,
