General Manager - Procurement/Operations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on the API/Excipients marketplace, identifying emerging trends, potential suppliers, quality standards, and regulatory compliance and competitive pricing structures to inform sourcing strategy.
- Driving cost reduction targets across Geographies to meet the PPV Saving nos.
- Devising Best in Class Procurement Strategy for shortlisting Products for Short term and long term contracts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand specific API/Excipients/ RLD needs, including functionality, security requirements, performance metrics, and integration points.
- Develop criteria for evaluating potential API / Excipients providers based on technical capabilities, pricing models, service level agreements (SLAs), reputation, and compliance standards.
- Design a comprehensive sourcing strategy, including vendor shortlisting, request for proposals (RFPs), negotiation tactics, and contract terms to achieve optimal value.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key API / Excipients providers, monitoring performance, addressing issues, and driving continuous improvement.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, contract renegotiations, price negotiations, value engineering initiatives and exploring alternative API / Excipients solutions. Engaging into Negotiations for all Class A vendors in partnership with commercial team for Materials contributing 60% of total Spend across API and Excipient Category.
- Assess potential risks associated with API dependencies, including vendor lock-in, data security, and compliance issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Identifying Products for COGS improvement and accordingly Prioritizing / Managing the Grid for 2 years.
- Ensure all sourced excipients meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements, including thorough quality control testing and documentation + Regulatory Guidelines
- Evaluate potential suppliers through detailed due diligence processes, including site audits, quality reviews, and technical assessments to ensure they meet required standards
- Responsible for providing insights to product portfolio, strategy, M & A and Business teams
- Build a highly motivated and result oriented team to Meet Goals and Objectives as outlined by Global Procurement Head.
- Supporting RND for all new Developments, identifying right partners, ensuring timely availability of API/ Exp/ RLDs , Regulatory Support for Filing, on time Deficiency response from the vendors, On time Launch. Monitoring there are no changes at Vendors end impacting the Launch date, Vendor credential, upcoming audits and respective outcome.
