GITAM - Assistant Director - Education

Job Overview:

Gandhi Institute of Technology Management is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director to lead and oversee student activities, events, and student affairs, ensuring a vibrant and supportive campus environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational administration and a proven ability to engage with students, manage events, and support academic and personal development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the planning and execution of student activities and campus events, fostering an inclusive and engaging atmosphere for all students.

- Lead and manage the Student Affairs department, addressing student concerns, promoting well-being, and facilitating a supportive campus experience.

- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to support student success initiatives and ensure alignment with institutional goals.

- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to support student engagement, retention, and academic progress.

- Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and administration to foster positive relationships and open communication channels.

- Mentor and guide student organizations, helping to develop leadership skills and community involvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Masters degree in Education, Management, or a related field (Doctorate or additional certifications are a plus).

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in educational institutions, preferably in a student services, student affairs, or administrative leadership role.

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record in managing events and student programs.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to students, staff, and stakeholders.

- Demonstrated commitment to student welfare, diversity, and inclusivity.
