Role Description:
- We are looking for a driven, systematic, and energetic product manager who will work to evolve our products in line with market and customer needs.
- In this role, you will own GIST Impact's key product value propositions and be responsible for aligning on a go-to-market strategy.
- You will work with our customers to concretize and lead all aspects of the product, including its value propositions, long and short-term strategy, features, and direct the work of our engineering team and researchers to drive their implementation.
- The role demands excellent critical thinking and collaboration skills and includes a significant share of hands-on work.
- To excel in this role, you will need to listen, learn, imagine, design, socialize, and organize ideas and systems.
- You will also be an extremely proactive and efficient task manager, managing teams and stakeholders to achieve results.
- You must be skilled at writing/maintaining product documentation, demand estimations/sizing and conducting market research.
- We are primarily for individuals with B2B product experience across SaaS/DaaS as well as those who have either worked in or can demonstrate a strong interest in the areas of environment, sustainability, financial investment and portfolio management, management & strategy consulting.
Job Duties and Responsibilities.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities and prioritise product. initiatives based on customer needs and market trends.
- Define and execute the product and go-to-market strategy for GIST Impact's products,. ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations.
- Lead cross-functional product management sprints, working closely with engineering,. customer and research teams to drive product development and delivery.
- Translate user requirements into actionable feature designs, including wireframes and. customer journeys, to guide technology builds and enhancements.
- Document and maintain product definition, development roadmap, and feedback loops to. ensure transparency and alignment across teams.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) of developed products/features and coordinate. customer co-creation sessions for product validation and innovation.
- Collaborate with marketing and client services/sales teams to develop product marketing. materials, sales collateral, and knowledge resources.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional resources in ongoing product sprints, ensuring efficient. execution and delivery of product milestones.
Requirements.
- Product Management Experience: 3-8 years in Product Management or similar roles, with a. focus on B2B products, especially SaaS/DaaS.
- Domain Expertise: Experience or strong interest in environment, sustainability, financial. investment, portfolio management, strategy consulting, or technology/software companies.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in wireframing and mock-up tools (e. , Figma), Jira, and Confluence.
- Customer Focus: High customer orientation, using design thinking and analytical approaches. to identify customer needs.
- Impact-driven: Execute projects with a focus on outcomes and impact, maintaining high. standards of rigour.
- Leadership and Initiative: Proactive, eager to take initiative, and demonstrate leadership.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ambiguity Navigation: Ability to navigate ambiguity by asking the right questions and finding. answers.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Learning and Adaptability: Eager to learn on the job, ready for a steep learning curve.
- Communication: Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both. upwards and across.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of technology in product building Knowledge. of Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Platform/API Development is a. plus.
Preferred Qualifications.
- Background in software engineering and data science is preferred.
- Experience with Agile ways of working and project management, relevant for a startup culture. fast experimentation, MVP and development cycles.
- Experience in market research and analysis required.
- Experience working in environmental/social impact or a demonstrated interest in this space.
- Exposure to product innovation and management frameworks.
