POSITION DESCRIPTION STATEMENT (PDS):
TITLE : Manager - Products / Associate Product Manager, Dispenser, HGM
REPORTING TO : Sr. Global Product Manager
LOCATION : Mumbai
Purpose of Position:
Associate Product Manager will be responsible for product life cycle management of dispenser product line in high growth market including conducting industry/market research, Competitor analysis and price value mapping to determine product demand, Positioning, and profitability. The Associate Product Manager will also have the responsibility to create formal business cases and product requirements and work as a facilitator between the various internal organizations to ensure product strategy is documented, and executed accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Determine value needs for the customer and drive market segmentation for high Growth markets through continuous engagement with regional sales team, channel partners and customers.
2. Develop and document the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing market requirements and product specifications using appropriate product management tools.
3. Dynamically assess macro level leading indicators like new regulatory requirements, equipment replacement programs etc. to align the product offering through rationalized road maps. Document the needs from time to time.
4. Develop business case in collaboration with regional sales and marketing team for product development programs for existing and new products.
5. Define and articulate value proposition for product lines and create value sell documents in coordination with marketing communication team.
6. Own definition of marketing communication objective and provide all necessary source data for product line messaging.
7. Develop and document competitive product offering and analyze market share movements in target regions by working with regional sales team.
8. Develop, document and execute product positioning/ packaging strategies based on market requirement and competitive advantage.
9. Conduct Price and Margin analysis for all dispenser product segments in HGM and recommend winning strategies.
10. Conduct product mix analysis, to validate options/configurations and recommend phase out decisions as per established process and matrices.
11. Act as point of first reference for all product related queries and work collaboratively with cross functional team to achieve growth objectives.
12. Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal organizations including; Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, & Operations.
13. Take part in development, approval, training, of new products/product changes. Lead communications on new products/product changes especially around customer, operational, system, & process impacts to the various internal organizations.
14. Conduct product trainings to sales team across different target regions in HGM.
15. Build cadence and internal processes for launch/ release efficiency and validity pre & post product launch/changes.

1. Global product management, Regional Sales and marketing, Engineering, Project and Services Teams.
2. Customer service teams at various GVR entities across the globe.
3. Cross functional team of various GVR product platforms.
Measures of Performance:
1. Product availability for each market segments across target regions.
2. Competitive advantage in terms of product market share in different segments.
3. On-time delivery of product to the market with all sales collaterals.
4. Revenue recognition.
5. Customer Satisfaction Index.
Background and Skill:
1. Bachelors degree in business, marketing, engineering, science: MBA preferred
2. At least Three to five years marketing/product management experience: Experience in Oil and Gas or process automation segments is an advantage.
3. At least Two years of data analysis experience.
4. Experience is dealing with global cross functional teams is an advantage.
