BD and Marketing Manager - Social Gifting Startup – Giftery.in (1-3 yrs)

Giftery.in is a social gifting platform that enables users to send recommended gift cards to their friends and family for local experiences and local boutiques. We're working with 3 gift card categories - dining (restaurants & bars), boutique product stores (home and living primarily) and interesting experiences (hotel stays, spas, scuba diving etc) within the city. The gift cards are full price gift cards that you can send to friends for a meal at a restaurant, a stay at a hotel or a spa experience at a hotel, or for an in store purchase. We are looking at a hard-core sales and marketing person who has an interest in working for a startup with some background working at internet/online companies either full time or as an intern –

Responsibilities:

Business Development -

You will need to handle the entire sales cycle from pre sales to post sales activities. This includes –

- Curating the list of merchants who fit the profile we are targeting

- Generating leads

- Closing deals

- Activation and on boarding of new merchants

- Building relationships and servicing current merchants

- In addition to the core responsibilities we are looking for someone who is a generalist and can take on other responsibilities such as marketing and operations as well.

Your profile

- You would rather own a piece of the company you will help build than just go job-hopping for a better paycheck.

- You know that working for a start-up is not a regular job and you are willing to do whatever is required at the time

- Prior experience in sales and relationships with merchants in the three categories mentioned above will be a big plus
