- We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Controller to join our team.

- The role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and supporting business decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

- You will collaborate with various teams to drive revenue and margin growth, maintain governance standards, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with IFRS.

- Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and ad-hoc reports.

- Act as the main finance contact for assigned customer accounts, advising managers on customer performance.

- Support Sales and Customer Services Managers (CSMs) to drive customer revenue and margins.

- Apply proper governance principles across all accounting aspects.

- Conduct gap analyses against budget/forecasts and actual results to ensure accurate reporting and identify areas for improvement.

- Understand IT operations and translate them into financial control objectives.


- Provide clear, accurate, and timely information to regional and group finance teams.

- Resolve financial queries promptly and liaise with customers as needed.

- Ensure accurate billing to customers and support collection efforts.

- Evaluate the taxation impact of transactions, including VAT, GST, withholding taxes, and transfer pricing, with support from tax advisors.

- Participate in external and internal audit processes and ensure compliance with deadlines.

- Review new customer bids to ensure all financial and taxation aspects are addressed.

- Provide guidance on technical accounting and controlling issues, promoting best practices in finance.

- Act as a backup for other controllers during leave periods and support central and regional finance teams as needed.

- Ensure vendor engagement aligns with procurement processes.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting or related field.

- Proven experience in financial control, preferably in a multinational environment.

- Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT exposure; experience with tax considerations like GST and withholding taxes is preferred.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and SAP; knowledge of ARIBA is advantageous.

- Ability to make quick and effective decisions within set guidelines.

- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a comprehensive view of interconnected issues.

- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English (verbal and written).

- Experience working in multinational teams and with diverse customers.

- A collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and support team success.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
