Join our GEP Worldwide family as a Category Manager
As a Category Manager, you will carry on the GEP Worldwide tradition of excellence ensuring the onward progress and success of our growing client list.
Some key responsibilities for this role include the following :
- It's GO time
- Must take complete Ownership of team's performance (SLA- s/KPI- s) and provide aggregate reporting on entire team's performance and utilization.
- Responsible for stakeholder relationship management and providing periodic updates
- Act as single point of contact for team. Must exhibit the ability to manage entire operations related to sourcing and procurement activities
- Oversight of contract execution by proactively engaging with client stakeholders, Law, Audit, etc.
- Assurance of continuity of services by maintaining qualified alternative sources, robust Disaster Recovery Plans, recommendation of industry best practices.
- Must demonstrate effective resource management skills
- Well versed in identify opportunities for additional business growth
Lead by example :
- While our Category Managers take ownership of a team of sourcing & procurement professionals it is anticipated you will be willing to pinch-hit where necessary to carry out strategy and solutions if the need arises.
- Play nice in the sandbox
- You will be required to collaborate with various stakeholders and team members to ensure client delight. Higher responsibility of employee satisfaction and growth leading to minimum attrition

What you need to succeed :
- 7+ yrs. relevant purchasing or Supply chain experience. Min. 2 yrs. Category mgmt.
- Bachelors (RQ), MBA (PF) CPIM, CSCP or CPM certification (PF)
- Strong industry experience and category SME
- Strong Financial analysis, quantitative skills & cost modelling
- High degree of motivation, the ability to prioritize and self-direct and sound interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge Excel, Access, Word; PowerPoint, Outlook, ERP/ P2P systems knowledge
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required
- Excellent people management and mentoring skills
Candidates with strong experience in categories of Professional Services/Marketing Services/IT/MRO/Logistics will be considered. Candidate should be willing to relocate to Dublin/UK/United States.
