Job summary :
The person handling this role will be responsible to own and drive all Network related Projects/Operations. Areas of responsibility include, but not limited to :
- Maintaining documentation related to SOWs, inventory and Network Design diagrams
- Providing expertise as an SME to design, evaluate and support all new and existing projects related to the data network infrastructure
- Identify solutions to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Support and Lead resolutions and RCCA during breakdowns
- Partner with Vendor to meet customer/stakeholder expectations
Essential Functions :
- Analyzes the needs of the user (via HPSM tickets or Project Requests ) and recommends advanced solutions to the hardware and/or software systems
- Manages design and implementation of new internal solutions or modifications to vendor software and coordinates installation of hardware.
- Monitors the high level operation of Data based telecommunications systems and services of vendors.
- Manages relationships between telecommunications carriers, vendors, and users
- May act as team lead or project manager on projects. Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for the project. Manage project schedules, BOMs, and costs
Engineering Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, maintain, recommend, and support local and remote portions of America's enterprise Data network Solutions
- Creates and maintains detailed technical diagrams, project plans, scopes of work, and other technical documentation related to the enterprise data network
- Provide timely project status updates to customers and management
- Understanding of all LAN, WAN, and Data Center related operations
- Participate in the ongoing support and maintenance of existing Data infrastructure
- Work in an enterprise IT environment with specific tasks related to Data. Conduct regular compliance assessments of the enterprise data environment
- Participate in design and strategy meetings for assigned IT projects for the enterprise data network
- Work with various IT and business based groups as a subject matter expert (SME)
- Perform complex problem isolation and resolution within the data infrastructure
- Provide continuous research, solution identification, recommendations, and implementation of new technologies as needed by the organization
- Expected to be available 24x7x365 as required to maintain the enterprise infrastructure.
- Participate in an advisory role with other IT and Business based groups as it relates to data
- Lead implementation efforts across the enterprise and insure that projects are executed according to design, within project time frames, and budget
- Develops and recommends strategies for growth, direction, and other enhancements by maximizing functionality of data infrastructure
- Conduct, research, and recommend solutions as it relates to capacity planning for the enterprise data network
- Develop operational knowledge of data network-based tools that support the enterprise network environments worldwide
- Own and Manage all critical changes related to the Data infrastructure
- Additional duties as assigned by the Americas Infrastructure Leader
Additional Responsibilities :
- Managing onsite implementation teams.
- Ensuring compliance with internal audit requirements, ensure to external audit readiness.
- IT process trainings.
Interactions :
- The candidate will interact with corporate Stakeholders, End Customer Technical Teams and Remote Offshore teams.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required :
- Understanding and full support capabilities of complex aspects of data and voice telecommunication systems associated with Call Centers.
- Should have worked on high end devices like 6500 series switches and 7200, 7600 and ASR routers
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP stack routing /switching and subnetting
- Expertise in Routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP and BGP
- Experience in MPLS / QoS
- Experience in server/link load balancer configuration
- Excellent hands-on /troubleshooting of WLC's
- Excellent hands-on on troubleshooting Wi-Fi devices
- Expertise in HSRP/VRRP and STP implementation
- Extensive operational experience with network security (ACLs, VPN, L2VPN, IPSEC and GRE)
- Implementation knowledge of syslog servers and forwarding critical devices logs to Syslog server
- Perform system audits and project work.
- Develop and maintain architecture diagrams and documents
- Manage and implement network security policies and procedures
- Knowledge and ability to identify the risk on the Network Security architecture & suggest solution to identified risk according to the best practices.
- Proven leadership skills both project and technical based
- Project Cost estimating
- Data Network Design and hands on Implementation knowledge.
- QoS for voice traffic engineering over data networks
- Co-ordination with Vendor (equipment and telecom) for implementation.
- Bandwidth assessment for data traffic.
- Capacity / Life cycle managements / Vendor Managements & Escalation/IT cost Optimization
- Telecom Service Provider understandings
- Basic knowledge of VOIP / SBC / SIP
- Possess a high degree of professionalism, customer centricity, and integrity
- Ability to apply a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices and procedures
- Solid written and verbal communication, Must present exceptional leadership, problem solving, decision making, and time management skills
- Ability to work in a remote capacity and in a team environment
Education And Experience :
- BS in information systems, computer applications or similar field preferred.
- Certifications such as Network +, ACE will be a big plus.
- At least eight years of- experience in the designing, implementation and support of various networking products such as routers, switches, and wireless
- Proven Leadership skills both project and technical based
- Project Cost Estimation
- Should have good communication and presentation skills
- Fair knowledge on ITIL Framework on Service Transition
- Should have experience in team handling
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- Should have experience in remote administration
- Ready to work in US Shift
- CCNP certified preferred
- Should have a Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline
- Proactive person with an eye for detail and passion for improving existing processes
