Assistant Vice President - Research - Competition Intelligence
We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Competition Intelligence
Our research and intelligence practice (Growth Intelligence Unit) has been evolving at a steady pace and is set to grow further at a rapid pace. Our offerings are broadening so as to include highly complex, transformative service offerings that need equal amount of focus as we present a compelling case for our clients.
Specific Competence (Essential) :
- Strong research and analytical skills: ability to analyze data sets (internal/ external data-sets) and reports (analyst reports, secondary research)
- Primary research/ interviewing skills: Should have exposure to interviewing senior executives to get inputs/information that's not-so-obvious
- Business problem solving expertise to drive C-Level projects for strategic planning & sales/deal support
- Flexible, diligent, motivated, reliable and proactive personality with superior problem-solving skills
- Develop an advisory relationship with senior leaders to understand their key issues and deliver related competition/market insights, Reporting to senior leadership and board on competition and business insights
- Track competition for business model, strategy, outlook, periscope view of competitors to counter
- Real time intel on deals and advise on competitor displacement strategy on key deals; Recommend best practices to drive improvement with supporting benchmarking data/analysis
- Managing a team of 8-10 Competition Intelligence Experts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: Work with senior leaders (VPs, SVPs) to seek input; multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong storyboarding and messaging skills to present findings at an executive level
Knowledge, Experience and Education:
- MBA or equivalent from a reputed institute
- Relevant experience in strategic research and consulting
- Working knowledge of analytical tools - SAS, PowerBI, Stat testing etc.
- Previous experience in a similar role leading a Competitive Intelligence team in a multi-region Technology, Consulting or B2B sales environment with demonstrated knowledge of the consulting & technology competitive landscape
