Head Generics- API
Our client is a robust mid-sized API firm, currently undergoing substantial growth and supported by a private equity fund. Operating with manufacturing sites located overseas, they specialize in catering to regulated markets.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Profit and Loss Management:
- Take complete ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the Generics division.
2. Cost-Effective Measures:
- Implement cost-effective measures while ensuring high-quality standards to maximize profitability.
3. Operations Management:
- Manage customers, suppliers, contract manufacturers, etc.
- Leverage the India network to optimize manufacturing and sourcing.
4. Strategic Initiatives:
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand the generics business using existing setup and products.
- Generate new product development ideas.
5. Supply Chain Optimization:
- Optimize the supply chain for a smooth flow of raw materials and finished products.
6. Supplier Relationships:
- Develop strategic partnerships with suppliers to enhance cost competitiveness.
7. Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes meeting or exceeding industry standards.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement in quality control and product consistency.
8. Networking:
- Leverage industry network to build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
9. Collaborations and Partnerships:
- Identify and pursue strategic collaborations and partnerships to enhance the company's market position.
10. Culture Development:
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
11. Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate operational risks for uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
Preferred Candidate:
- Sales background with a transition to P&L responsibility.
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role within the pharma API industry.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in P&L management.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and leverage professional networks.
