General Manager Wood Floor
Job Overview:
The General Manager for the Wooden Flooring Division is responsible for leading the division's strategic planning, operational execution, sales, marketing, and financial performance. This role requires a seasoned leader with strong expertise in the flooring industry, specifically in wooden flooring, who can drive growth and profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to quality standards.
This role is ideal for a proactive and visionary leader passionate about growth and innovation in the flooring industry, with a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive market penetration, growth, and profitability within the wooden flooring segment.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities, including partnerships, distribution channels, and market expansion.
Sales & Marketing:
- Oversee the development and execution of sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, architects, contractors, and designers to drive business growth.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine product offerings and stay ahead in the market.
Operations Management:
- Ensure effective management of the supply chain, from procurement to delivery, ensuring timely availability of materials.
- Oversee product quality control to maintain high standards and minimize product defects or returns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, operations, finance & quality assurance, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Financial Performance:
- Prepare, manage, and monitor the division's budget, ensuring profitability and cost effectiveness.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as necessary.
Customer Relations:
- Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction, addressing any issues or complaints promptly.
- Gather customer feedback to inform product development, innovation, and service enhancement.
Inventory and Display Management:
- Oversee showroom inventory, ensuring all items are well-stocked and correctly displayed.
- Coordinate with the merchandising team to ensure that the showroom reflects brand standards.
- Execute seasonal and promotional setups to maximize product visibility and customer interest.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 20- 25 years of relevant work experience in sales, business development, & related roles, which include client management, customer service & team handling.
- Proven track record of managing successful sales teams and achieving business targets.
- Experience working with hospitality, lifestyle & luxury products is highly desirable.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficient in using MS Office and CRM software.
Working Conditions:
- This role involves frequent interactions with clients, architects, interior decorators, and the sales team.
- Must be Open for Extensive Travelling as per the business requirement

- Age : 48-52 yrs ideally
