Department Overview :

- Product Engineering team works on the customer facing applications through our desktop & mobile sites, Android & iOS apps. We support multi-million hits to our sites everyday and strive to improve the customer experience on a continuous basis. This is a high energy group which owns right from initial design to taking the changes Live. We play with multiple technologies and our engineers keep moving the technical innovation needle constantly. As a group we support more than 50 Android Apps & 10+ iOS Apps.

Role Overview :

- The AGM/GM - Technology is responsible for the research, conceptualization, direction and delivery of the overall technology architecture and application across Bharat Matrimony and Community Matrimony portals, while being adept in open source/ web/ mobile apps.

Key Responsibilities :

- Wholly responsible for all the technical aspects of product development from Design, Development, Testing to Live Implementation

- Evaluating and identifying appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering.

- Identifying technology trends and evolving social behavior that may support or impede the success of the business.

- Delivering products with high quality, on time while maintaining high efficiency of resources utilized

- Leading the Engineering, Operations and IT teams across Development, QA, Operations, etc.

- Responsible for every layer of the stack: Backend, Operations, Web, Desktop, Mobile, Integrations etc.

- Responsible for Big Data and Analytics Platforms, NoSQL non-relational (row-major and column major) Databases, Billing and Payment platforms, Recommendation Engines, Experimentation Platforms, Caching, Transactional Systems etc.

- Leading strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services.

Skills and Competencies :

- Ability to manager high performance engineering teams

- Experience of working with high traffic portals

- Experience in using project management tools like PMP, Lean or other agile models.

- Certification in PMP, Agile-Scrum data would be an added advantage.

Education and Experience :

- Engineering Graduate from any Premier Technology / Engineering University with 13-15 Years of experience in managing project and delivery. Prior experience of working with consumer internet services company. Experience in open source environment is an advantage.
