General Manager - Technical Team Lead - R&D - Adhesives

Opportunity as Technical Team Lead - Adhesives (at the level of General Manager) for one of India's largest acrylic emulsions manufacturers with leading market position in pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) and emerging position in coating emulsions.

Qualifications:

- MSc. (Organic) / MTech in Chemical Engineering/ Polymers with specialization in Polymer Emulsions.

Note: Even if the candidate is not a polymer specialist by education and has hands-on work experience in this field for 5- 10 years in a similar company/ industry will be considered.

Experience:

- 10 - 15 years Product Development and Research experience in an R&D Center or related Industry

- Specific focus on Pressure Sensitive Adhesives necessary

- Knowledge of paper, films, release liners & converting processes desirable

- Adding value to existing products

- Developing new products/ applications

- Needs to have leadership qualities to be able to work with technical team below him as well as interact with the customer.

Nice to Have:

- Experience in working with markets outside India (Jesons currently has markets across US, Sri Lanka, Korea, 45 more countries).

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide high-level expertise and domain knowledge related to Adhesives and Pressure Sensitive Adhesives in particular

- Work closely with Sales/Marketing Teams to define gaps and identify new marketing opportunities within the Pressure Sensitive Adhesives Industry

- Offer innovative, technological solutions and new products to enable the Company maintain its market leadership in the Adhesives segment.

- Motivate and mentor the team of Chemists and Research Associates to obtain the best possible deliverables

- Provide technical support to manufacturing for scale-up of new products in the Paints sector

- Lay down processes and procedures for laboratory working

- Keep abreast of technical literature, domain knowledge and patents that could enhance Jesons business profile for Pressure Sensitive Adhesives.
