General Manager - Supply Chain - Plastic Extrusion/Polymers

GM - Supply Chain (Plastic Extrusion/ Polymers)

- Responsible to direct and oversee the whole organization's overall supply chain and procurement operations, including sourcing and procuring of materials/products/services, selection of vendors, and its management and distribution.

- Develop and execute strategic plans to improve cost, productivity, quality and efficiency of the Supply Chain function operations. Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develop budgets/policies/procedures.

Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Development

- Budget Preparation, Supplier Negotiation, Spend Analysis, Commodity Strategy

- Supplier Selection and Evaluation, Cost Effectively Timely Procurement

- APQP, PPAP, Development Programs, Vendor Capacity Review

- Supplier Panel Review and Sourcing of MRO and CAPEX items and Services, Scorecard

- Contract Management and revision of terms and conditions ensuring minimization of RISK to supply chain

Procurement and Production Planning

- Material Requirement Planning, Inventory Control (ABC parts), Purchase Order Effectiveness

- Liaison with supplier, custom house agent and freight forwarder (import items)

- Timely release and changes in Purchase Order

Production Planning

- Optimum usage of resource, minimize changeover, foresee challenge in production, Trend Analysis and Forecasting

Logistic and Warehouse Management

- Liaison with transporter/CHA for in-bound and out-bound transportation

- Warehouse Management

- FIFO, Shelf Life Monitoring, Lean Manufacturing Methodology

- Space Utilization Study, Review of Process and System as per ISO/TS, OHSAS

- Inventory Reconciliation and Accuracy

Qualification And Experience:

1. BE & MBA in Supply Chain Operations Preferred with 15-22 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with Plastic Extrusion Industry & last 3+ years of management experience

2. Experience in process development and optimization

3. Working knowledge of MRP and PP in an SAP Environment

4. Proficient at using Excel spreadsheets and database applications for data analysis

5. Training/Certification in Six Sigma, KAIZEN or Lean Manufacturing (TPS) highly desirable

6. Thorough knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning / IBP

7. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

8. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; possess the ability to work at all levels of the company

9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
