General Manager - Supply Chain Operations
Job Summary:
As the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our business by managing procurement processes, optimizing operational efficiency, overseeing export-import activities, and strategically managing the supply chain. Your leadership skills, strategic thinking, and industry expertise will contribute to the growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of printers and related products.
- Establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align procurement activities with market demands.
Operations Management:
- Streamline and optimize internal processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in all operational activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock levels.
Export-Import Management:
- Manage and coordinate international shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant import-export regulations.
- Work closely with logistics partners, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth transportation of goods.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade laws and regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with business goals and ensures the efficient flow of products.
- Collaborate with suppliers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain processes.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.
Cost Management:
- Implement cost-effective measures and strategies to optimize procurement and operational expenses.
- Conduct regular cost analyses and reviews to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
Forecasting and Reporting:
- Utilize forecasting tools and methodologies to predict product demand and inform procurement and production planning.
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a cross-functional team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Financial Management:
- Work closely with the finance department to manage budgets related to procurement, operations, export-import, and supply chain management.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with an MBA in relevant field.
- Proven experience of 15 to 18 years in procurement, operations, export-import, and supply chain management roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of international trade laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.
