General Manager - Supply Chain - Diagnostic/Healthcare

The position is for a well know Health care/Diagnostic Company.

Title of the Position: GM Supply Chain

Location: Chennai

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Lead and direct all facets of supply chain management including, but not limited to, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, material forecasting, capacity planning and sourcing, master scheduling, inventory control and financial costing, as necessary for projects and production.

2. Direct the activities of all functions involved in the purchasing, planning, warehousing and control of materials from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery

3. Manage inventory and establishes controls to ensure the company is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.

4. Develop strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team to optimize value of the entire function in creating a world class procurement and materials management group.

5. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.

6. Lead and coach team members, develop and continuously improve supplier programs.

7. Participate in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches

8. Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts.

9. Establishes annual goals and objectives, (including stretch targets) in coordination with corporate objectives, and manages performance to ensure attainment

Candidate requirement:

- More than 12-15 years of experience

- Demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings.

- Should be well aware of the cold chain process

- Should have experience in working with Manufacturing setups

- Experience in SAP

- Well versed with required compliances

Qualification - Candidates with a degree in Engineering would be preferred.
