Designation: General Manager - Strategic Partner Engagement

Location: Mumbai

Reports to: Joint President (Technology and Information Security)

Job Purpose:

a) Responsible for building and managing relationships with strategic partners/ suppliers of Information Technology products and services to Aditya Birla Group

b) Evaluate potential partners using developed and agreed criteria (RFI, RFP, etc) to support alignment and understanding of the expectations and requirements of engagement

c) Monitor and report on the performance of selected partners to ensure delivery in line with contractual obligations and performance metrics

d) Manage communication with partners to facilitate understanding and awareness of organizational strategic direction, changes, and challenges

e) Manage the interaction between partners and various stakeholders across the Group IT to provide adequate visibility of interdependent initiatives and programs

f) Liaise with partners to review, report on and revise contractual agreements as necessary, in collaboration with functional departments and businesses

g) Collaborate with Indian and overseas business IT teams for Standardization of Technology Solutions across ABG

Principal Accountabilities

Technology Evaluation & Awareness -

Identify, evaluate, test implement and sustain group-wide Technology Initiatives for improving end user productivity, reducing costs and enhancing availability.

Technology Evaluation and selection for the following:

- End-User Computing devices (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Apple, etc)

- End user productivity tools and applications (Microsoft, Adobe, Google, etc)

- Business Applications (SAP, Oracle, IBM, SAS, Kronos, etc)

- IT Infrastructure technology and providers (Tata Communications, Sify, HPE, Dell-EMC, Citrix, Cisco, etc)

- New/Innovative Technology solutions (eg. Green Data Center, Mobility, Analytics, Cloud - IAAS, SAAS, PAAS etc, Blockchain, Virtual/ Augmented Reality, Cognitive/ AI)

- Security technology and services (Symantec, MacAfee, Trend Micro, Seclore, ForcePoint, Zscaler, etc)

Group Wide Technology MOU's -

Responsible for managing Group technology spend through group-wide MOU- s/ Agreements. Annual Business value of approx. 45 Cr across the following:

- Desktop/Laptop, Printers, Multifunction, Desktop Backup, Video Conferencing

- Software Licensing (Microsoft, Adobe, SAP, Oracle etc)

- Cloud Service Providers (Amazon, Azure, Google, IBM, etc)

- Desktop and Mobile Device Management, IP Telephony, Integrated Server Racks etc.

- Professional Services providers - TCS, Wipro, PWC, E&Y, KPMG, etc for common services required across ABG

- Identification of appropriate vendors for new/evolving Technologies - RFP, Technical comparison, product selection, engage commercial teams, SLAs, Legal Agreements, performance matrix, periodic reviews, managing escalations etc.

Standardization and Consolidation of Contracts/ MoUs - for all products and services procured from strategic IT partners

- Identify synergy areas where Group-wide contracts can be put in place with select strategic partners

- Facilitate Commercial benefit leveraging the scale of the Group

- Simplify contracting process and evolve best practices with major partners

- Create a knowledge base of existing major IT contracts across the Group

- Developing a governance mechanism and process to enable contracts review and standardization

- Analyze existing contracts, identify and propose improvements

- Quantify potential benefits to respective businesses by standardizing contracts management and get buy-in from businesses

- Enable standardization of technology across the Group wherever beneficial

New Product Development & Innovation - leverage strategic partner relationships for technology innovation in ABG businesses

- Track technology innovation and identify areas where new technology can be adopted in ABG for business benefit

- Engage with partners in joint product development initiatives

- Build executive level connects between partner organizations and ABG to take the relationship to a strategic level

- Identify and engage with new partners including start-ups to facilitate early adoption of new technology
