General Manager - Store Operations (high-end interiors)


About the Client:


The Client is the largest luxury furniture showrooms in the nation and is an authorised dealer of iconic Italian luxury furniture brands. With a retail collection of top-tier Italian luxury brands, the Client is renowned for its exclusive designs that revolutionise the concept of luxury living.

About the Role:

The Client is looking for an senior experienced executive to lead the operations of the 20,000 plus sq feet flagship store in one of the most premium retail locations in Pune. The key responsibilities will include:

1. Sales & Customer Experience

- Drive store revenue by ensuring high conversion rates and average order values.

- Understand customer preferences and offer design-oriented solutions.

- Build relationships with high-end clientele, interior designers, and architects.

- Ensure exceptional showroom experience and hospitality at every touchpoint.

2. Team Leadership

- Lead, train, and motivate the store team including sales consultants, design advisors, cashiers, and support staff.

- Set individual and team KPIs; conduct regular performance reviews.

- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and luxury service.

3. Store Operations & Delivery Management

- Oversee daily operations including inventory management, cash handling, store hygiene, and compliance.

- Coordinate with logistics for timely and damage-free deliveries.

- Resolve customer complaints/escalations related to delivery or service.

- Ensure accurate invoicing and documentation.

4. Point-of-Sale (POS) Marketing & Merchandising

- Execute in-store marketing initiatives, promotions, and product placement.

- Maintain premium visual merchandising standards aligned with brand guidelines.

- Liaise with marketing and VM teams to plan local events or campaigns.

5. Inventory & Vendor Coordination

- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse/supply chain for replenishment.

- Ensure timely communication with vendors for custom furniture pieces or made-to-order items.

The incumbent will be driving operations across the flagship store and to be suitable for the role. s/he must have:

- PG degree in marketing / sales

- at least 10 years of experience in luxury retail operations

- strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

- excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- prior experience with CRM systems, billing software, and inventory tools.

- high customer orientation and problem-solving mindset.

- pleasant personality
