Role Objectives:
Plan & execute the project strategy in keeping with the overall organization strategy
Responsibilities:
I. Planning & Strategic Management
- Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the program - Ensure that the program offered by the organization contribute to the organization's mission - Monitor the day-to-day delivery of the program to maintain or improve quality - Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of the program
- Responsible for achieving the project implementation target
II. Budgeting
- Allocation of resources and ensuring that appropriate controls are maintained at all levels
- Preparing the annual budget on time and making sure that all other financial tasks are completed in an efficient and timely matter
III. Administration
- Identify funding opportunities & write grants & proposals for the same
- Write and produce informative briefings, research papers, reports, email updates and other materials on the project
- Partner with individuals & organizations in both public & private sector to plan, initiate & implement advocacy strategies
- Coordinate submission and negotiation of project proposals & applying for awards.
IV. Team Management
- Acquire, develop and mobilize people resources for sustainability of projects
- Set expectations and deliverables through KPIs for all resources reporting to this position in alignment with individual competencies and programme goals and objectives - Guide, direct and coach teams to achieve objectives
V. Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate externally for the project through both formal and informal presentations such as making speeches, attending conferences & other meetings as necessary
- Liaison with the external PR agencies and reporters to increase awareness and leverage on these contacts for the benefit of the Projects.
- Maintain and update database of NSDC, Ministry of Labour, Skill sector council, Education Ministry and related departments
- Building long term relationships with stake holders
Requirement:
- Post graduate and Management degree - Proven working experience in Development Sector (NGO) - Total experience of atleast 8 years with minimum 3 years of relevant experience
