Objective :

The General Manager - Marketing is responsible for business planning, sales budgeting, and achievement of sales plan. Responsible for setting targets for the sales team and support them in their growth plans. Has to grow the existing markets and identify new business opportunities for growth. Is responsible for credit policy, pricing, margins, working capital management and customer relationship.

Key Strategic Responsibilities

- Setting out strategic business plan for the segment

- Annual Sales Budget keeping in line with the growth plan requirements of the organization

- Initiatives for achieving SBP

- Maintaining Price Margins

- Key account management

- New Business Development identification and implementation of action plan

- Operational Responsibilities

- Meet Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Sales Target

- Forecasting to the plan

- Interact with production and PPC to ensure availability of the products

- Performance Review with the sales team and reporting manager

- Collection Plan and meeting the numbers

- Statutory forms - C Forms collection on time

- Learning and development of self and team

- Introduction of new product trials, feedback to TI for product improvement

- Maintain sales expenses as per revenue budget

- Identify export markets for growth and meet the sales numbers

- Participation in Trade exhibition, seminars, identification of other promotional needs

- Financial Responsibilities

- Manage/Achieve to plan sales/revenue budgets

- Increase share from new products and new markets.

Competence :

Education : Engineering Degree, Management Degree pref. MBA (Marketing)

Work Experience 15+ years- experience, handled teams, commercial knowledge Exposure to International Markets, Direct Sales

Knowledge : Sales Management, Cost Management, Key Account Management Channel business

Skills : Communication skills, relationship building, presentation skills, team playing skills, Analytical Problem Solving Skills, Business Process knowledge, Systems
