Job Summary :

Strategically assist in proactively creating a regulatory strategy for supporting the key legal cases by continuously interacting with the various Governmental bodies as per company's requirement. The candidate needs to correctly interpret provisions under various Governmental regulations in force, especially land related, and advise the Management about appropriate options / action to ensure that the company's interest are protected

Responsible for ensuring liaisoning and maintaining good PR & Network with Governmental bodies, Local bodies etc.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Liaise with Regulatory Consultants for submissions / filing of applications with Municipal Corporation, Urban Development Department, Mantralaya etc and ensure that the same is being within set time frame.

- Coordinate with various departments to understand current & future regulatory issues and prepare a strategy for the same withing set framework

- Maintain good PR & network with statutory bodies to obtain information's, approvals, NOCs etc. and ensure that there is no official notices for non compliances issued & such cases are managed through effective PR & informal channels to protect company interest & reputation

- Maintain good working relations with neighboring housing society, shop owners, buildings etc to ensure that there are no complaints through mutual resolutions and ensure a harmonious working environment around the project and minimize local problems

- Based on sound knowledge of various provisions in governmental bye laws, advice Management about new developments, changes in existing system, to maximize / optimize company resources and save on investment / cost through such clauses / provisions

Education Preferred :

- B.E. (Civil) / B.Arch

- MUNICIPAL BYE-LAWS/ Legal Know how of Real Estate

Experience : 15+ yrs (Preferably from Revenue Department or Ex-Municipal employee)

Additional Information :

- Since the job involves dealing with all levels of Govt. and Quasi Govt employees, it is usually mandatory for the incumbent to have a very respectable background, have contacts at the right places, fast thinker, decision maker, and should be able to come up with innovative ways for resolving issues. Should have good integrity, since would be dealing with sensitive issues

- Should be able to process things from Land clearing till the time of construction

- Should be able to deal with Land matters & Trust Land

- Should have personal interaction with BMC officer, Mantralaya & SRA (Head Office in Borivali & Goregaon); Should be interacting with lower staff

- Should have knowledge about DCR & DP rules, FSCI,TDS

- Preferably should be able to deal with Charity Commissioner; Should have contacts in MIDC-Pune

- Should be able to report from Desk Officer to Secretary

- Liaise with Regulatory Consultants for submissions / filing of applications with Municipal Corporation, Urban Development Department, Mantralaya etc
