Job Description :

- Manages all activities of assigned QA staff. Ensures that software and related activities meets organization standards and end-user requirements, operates properly and is free from defects.

- Coaches and mentors junior staff members.

- Ensures objectives, performance reviews and development plans are executed.

- Works with Senior Management to develop and implement best practices.

- Ensures all QA processes are being followed.

- Ensures that projects are staffed and supported according to the needs of each project.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Creates/approves the QA work effort for projects.

- Makes hire/fire, training, development and disciplinary decisions.

- Provides input to product selection and purchase.

- Provides final QA test approval.

- Manages a group of 4+ associates and third party vendors.

- Manages project budgets.

- Provides input to department's fiscal budget.

Skills/Knowledge :

- Strong people management skills.

- Proficient in software testing methodologies.

- Ability to think strategically and inform/influence Senior Management on opportunities and risks.

- Knowledge of QA industry trends and best practices.

- Proficient in software requirements analysis.

- Project management skills.

- Experience with test automation tools.

- Solid working knowledge with MS Office Suite.
