General Manager - Projects - Real Estate

This opportunity is with one of the fastest growing Real Estate companies based out of Bangalore, with projects in multiple cities in India. The GM Projects role would be solely responsible for a 100+ acre project, handling the project right from scratch to handover. This would be a mix use project, having residential towers, commercial space and also space for start-up communities.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Independently manage the complete project, right from costing to complete handover.

- Oversee all aspects of selecting development team, building design, construction and execution.

- Ensures assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting business objectives.

- Monitors progress, provides financial control and ensures quality of project.

- Manages program of projects and project managers to ensure successful completion.

Responsible for ensuring that project managers :

- Manage the project team including architects, engineers, workplace consultants, construction managers and administrative support.

- Develop schedules and budgets for assigned projects.

- Identify and evaluates alternative solutions to best meet program goals.

- Prepare detailed construction cost estimates and documentation for project funding authorization.

- Monitor necessary coordination to manage project site and logistics, project documentation, project cost and working capital management, and other elements of project management.

- Manage project risks including mitigation and contingency plans.

- Contract Management - Overseeing the tender process, awarding the contracts for architecture and design, construction etc.

Key Requirements :

- Around 15-18 yrs of experience in Real Estate industry with exposure to developing Residential, Commercial spaces.

- Should have very good experience in working for - Mixed Use Development- projects

- Experience of working for projects/ townships of 60-70 acres size.

- Expertise in Primavera project management software.

- Exposure to new age construction technologies, constructing high rise buildings.
