Job Description :


1. Accountable for successful execution of assigned projects from Mobilization to Contract closing within budgeted cost, in time bound manner with defined Quality and Safety standard within the formulated procedures and organizational policies.


2. Ensuring business growth by focusing on new business through existing and / or new clients in the same field or in a diversified area.

Description :

Study of Contract/Agreement :

- Review the tender documents, drawings, general conditions and special conditions.

- Study pre-bid queries and resolutions.


- Study Contract/PO/Agreement terms and conditions and highlight critical ones.


- Understand various milestones of the contract, its requirement and implications.


- Identify any unique or challenging part of the project to be focused on.


- Apprise the execution team of the important provisions and focus areas.

Assigning execution team :

- Identify the available staff for placement at various levels in consultation with HR.

- Select the optimum team and decide phase wise posting in line with work requirement.


- Coordinate with other functions to identify and place corresponding employees. (Store, accounts, Purchase, safety, P&M, HR, Planning, Budgeting)


Mobilization :

- Finalize the infrastructure requirement depending on the size and time span of the project and guide the mobilization team to execute the same in a time bound manner.

- Finalize the staff quarters and transportation requirement and accordingly guide Mobilization and HR team to take action.


- Decide optimum Plant and Machinery requirement depending on scope of the project and identify the same from available resources or to be hired and guide P&M team to take action.


- Guide HR team to initiate action, in line with contractual documents, to initiate Legal & Statutory compliance like labour license, workmen compensation policy, CAR policy, environmental clearance etc.


- Keep monitoring till the mobilization is complete and conduct periodic review to optimize or add depending on the project requirement.


Budgeting, Planning & Monitoring :

- Monitor and review preparation of Overall Planning including availability of GFC drawings of the project in line with contractual requirement and get the same approved from Client.

- Monitor and review budget preparation with budget team, discuss the challenges with internal stake holders and get the budget approved from competent authority.


- Get the manpower planning done for the project cycle and finalize manpower requirement for different skills in different phases of the project. Discuss with resource manager for timely mobilization.


- Seek appropriate time extension with commercial settlement whenever applicable during the course of execution of the project.


- Put liquidation plan in action under special circumstances to tide over the setbacks.


- Attend periodic review meetings at Project site and conference calls with Client and/or PMC as fixed.


- Attend periodic review meeting at HO for progress and commercial monitoring of the project.


Sub-Contractor Management :

- Identify the number of third party sub contracts to be awarded and coordinate floating of enquiry to qualified agencies, actively associate in technical and commercial discussion with the agencies along with Budget and Purchase teams and finalize the orders. Ensure PO terms and conditions to match with the clients contract.

- Monitor the identification and timely submission of purchase requests of Bought-out material. Actively participate in negotiation and finalization of PO and monitor timely supply of the same to site.


- Monitor labour supply contractors for adequate manpower supply and ensure that weekly allowances workers and bills are processed.


- Monitor third party works for timely supply and release of fronts in line with project schedule.


- Ensure timely payment and closing of PO's of third party works.


- Monitor proper storage, preservation and use of bought-out materials.


Contract / Agreement/ PO management :

- Monitor timely submission of RA bills and keep track of regular payments by Client. Escalate in case delayed.

- Ensure submission of Rate Analysis for any Non Tender item required to be executed as per approved drawings. Make sure the rate is approved prior to execution of the work and amendment issued.


- In case any work beyond contract scope is ordered, take prompt action for any commercial implication and amendment of the contract with the prior administrative approval.


Business development :

- Explore possibilities in new jobs through existing / new consultants and clients.

- Support tendering for project procurement and diversification opportunities.


- Be a brand ambassador for all prospective clients and consultants. Building upon the brand value through various ways


Profile :

- 20 years of experience in EPC framework.

- BE Civil Engineering, MBA preferred but not Mandatory
