Job Description
Medlife is looking for a General Manager-Product Development Management (GMPM) to lead a team of 10 product managers / designers. The team's responsibility is to manage the software products that power Medlife's business.
The GMPM will have overall responsibility and accountability for all deliverables of the product / design team.
MANDATORY SKILLS:
Minimum of 3 years experience as a General Manager - Product Development Management
8 Experience in building End to End consumer facing websites and / or mobile apps that saw massive adoption
Must is experience of developing of websites/mobile application from scratch
Tier 1 IIT, IMT,IIM, BITs Pilani, NIT
4 years experience in managing product development managers (PDM) / designers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
E-commerce/start up experience is a MUST ( Flipkart, Amazon, Oracle, Yahoo and ecommerce companies...)
Healthcare domain
Create product delivery roadmap and process by working closely with the engineering team
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Exceptional leadership and management skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Experience in building consumer facing websites and / or apps that saw massive adoption
Demonstrated ability to hire, build and manage high performance teams
Entreprenurial mindset - Ability to iterate fast and deliver on-time results when business needs are evolving
Solid understanding of software development life cycle
Exceptional analytical skills
Knowledge of e-commerce space in India ( flipkart, amazon,Oracle,Yahoo and ecommerce companies...)
Knowledge of healthcare space (Optional)

Medlife International is a startup, which was founded in 2014. The company operates in the form of a mobile app that enables patients to order medicines online. The patient can upload the prescription from doctor in the app. The prescription goes to the internal Medlife fulfillment team and gets fulfilled. Medlife has 3 fulfillment centers across Bangalore. In new geographies, next to its existing business model, Medlife operates by aggregating local pharmacies and ensuring the delivery of the medicines. Currently Medlife operates across 8 Metros in India and is making plans to expand across 33 new cities.
Currently the company is fulfilling an average of 2000 orders per day. Total company size: 300 people
Product:
Medlife has 60 engineers working across 3 verticals. One of the verticals is focussed on the development of products for the patients /consumers. Another team is focussed on the Doctors and a 3rd team is working on developing products for the back end / fullfillment team (inventory, customer support etc.). The company has teams working on both mobile and desktop.
Funding: the company is self funded by the promoters
Management: CEO and co-founder is Tushar Kumar a leading and well known person in the medical domain.
