Qualification - B.Tech / M.Tech - Mechanical / Production
Experience - In Cement, steel, foundry, casting, Heavy Equipment manufacturing Industries (heavy machinery used like boiler autoclave etc)
Job Description:
- Oversee all aspects of the plant's operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, safety, and logistics.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and maximize efficiency.
- Develop and manage the plant's budget, including cost control, revenue generation, and profit margins.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead and manage a team of department managers, supervisors, and staff, ensuring clear communication, goal alignment, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that the plant operates in compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Establish and maintain quality control standards to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Monitor and improve product quality through regular inspections, testing, and process improvements.
- Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
- Monitor production progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
- Manage inventory levels to balance production efficiency with working capital requirements.
- Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and stockouts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions throughout the plant.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure reliable supply chains and customer satisfaction.
- Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the plant in alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to make informed decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory authorities and corporate headquarters.
- Evaluate and recommend capital investments in equipment, technology, and infrastructure to enhance plant capabilities and productivity.
- Communicate plant performance, challenges, and achievements to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with corporate leadership and other plant managers to share best practices and drive synergies.
- Implement sustainability initiatives and practices to reduce the plant's environmental footprint and promote responsible business operations.
- Address unforeseen issues, disruptions, or emergencies promptly and effectively to minimize negative impacts on plant operations.
