JOB SUMMARY:
The General Manager of Plant Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing plant. This role ensures that the plant runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, while meeting production targets & maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all aspects of plant operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitoring production schedules to meet customer demands and company goals.
- Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are well-maintained and operate efficiently.
- Developing and managing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Coordinating repairs and maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production.
- Enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensuring all the factory compliances.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the operations and maintenance team.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Managing the plant's operational budget and controlling costs.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing measures to reduce expenses.
- Ensure products meet quality standards, promptly resolve issues, and minimize rejections.
- Implementing quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Developing and implementing long-term strategies for plant growth and improvement.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and operational excellence.
- Maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing regular updates on plant performance and key initiatives.
- Leadership and manpower grievance resolution.
- Manage plant administration areas.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in plant operations and maintenance management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
