General Manager Operations Spinning Mill
- Responsible for creating a network of suppliers for procurement of Cotton.
- Responsible for servicing existing and acquiring new customers for supply and structured trade finance
- Managing end to end Cotton Procurement
- Adding new channels of sales for growing the business
- Responsible for new business development and brand building for Structured Trade Finance in Cotton.
- Responsible to onboard clients such as traders, millers, exporters, corporate dealing in a commodity business, bulk food processors, etc.
- Coordinating with finance team for payments to suppliers.
- Coordination with Operations team for complete documentation of all business activities from multiple sources such customers, field operations, suppliers and banks etc.
- Timely completion of invoicing and timely collection from customers
- Share critical business intelligence of markets with senior management to decide changes in business plans / approach.
- Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities, presenting analysis, and recommending objectives.
- Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results in measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; and making mid-course corrections.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
Qualification And Experience :
1. DTT / BE Textile with 20+ years of experience in spinning Production/spinning mill management or Ccommodity Cotton arena across a physically traded product
2. Proven track record of profitability and self managed trading portfolio with a physical back to back trading house
3. Established relationships in the market with the ability to trade from day one
4. Excellent network and contacts within the commodity trading space on both the supply and sales side
5. Ability to travel and meet with clients, stakeholders etc. where required
6. Excellent coaching/mentoring ability with a talent to combine both teamwork and independent working to achieve profitability targets
7. Exposure to trade flows - sourcing/ trading commodities
8. Exposure to agriculture commodities trade flows & risk management
9. Strong cost management skills
10. Relationship building experience with clients, suppliers and third parties
11. Good communication and presentation skills
12. Quantitative strategic analysis and financial assessment knowledge
