General Manager - Head Operations

Key Responsibilities :

Operational Strategy and Management :

- Develop and execute operational strategies to achieve the company's goals in alignment with the overall business objectives.

- Oversee day-to-day operations, including construction, budgeting, costing and property management.

- Implement efficient processes and procedures to improve operational effectiveness and reduce costs.

- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of department heads and operations managers to achieve performance targets.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to ensure a high level of employee performance, engagement, and retention.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the operations team.

Project Oversight:

- Adherence to Quality standards, safety compliances.

- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of real estate projects, ensuring all phases of development are conducted efficiently.

- Ensure all projects comply with legal regulations, building codes, safety standards, and environmental policies and Real Estates laws (RERA) Real Estate Regulatory Authority.

- Manage relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, and other third-party vendors involved in development projects.

Financial Management:

- Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively across projects.

- Monitor financial performance, analyze operational costs, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.

- Provide financial reports and forecasts to senior management and other stakeholders.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational performance and monitor progress regularly.

- Prepare and present operational performance reports to the MD, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

- Implement best practices for continuous improvement in operations and project execution.

Collaboration with Senior Leadership:

- Work closely with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic goals and align operational priorities.

- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that project offerings align with market demands and client expectations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Real Estate or a related field.

- An MBA in operations Management or Project Management or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

Experience:

- At least 10 years of experience in operations management within the real estate industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Proven experience managing large-scale real estate projects, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

- Strong understanding of project management principles, financial management, and real estate regulations.

- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving business growth.

Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

- In-depth knowledge of real estate operations, property management, and development processes.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
