Job Description
The GENERAL MANAGER is responsible for the successful operation of the entire certification scheme and ensuring impartiality and competence in all certification activities
Reporting to: Managing Director/ Board of Directors
The terms of reference for the GENERAL MANAGER are:
To assist the Managing Directors & Board of Directors in formulating appropriate operational and business policies to achieve the corporate objectives for excellence in the quality of its services as per our certification scheme.
To establish resource strategies to meet the financial, technical and administrative targets.
To oversee and coordinate the selection, employment and periodic appraisal of all personnel involved with the operation of our certification scheme.
To maintain liaison with the Impartiality Committee and provide regular information relating to the certification matters. The GENERAL MANAGER will be responsible for the Impartiality Committee's approval of any proposed changes in the certification scheme and its implementation under the Committee's direction and advice.
To oversee matters related to the issue of our certification in accordance with the documented procedures and directly control the withdrawal of any certification.
To ensure the granting and continuation of our accreditation, notification and such other authorities granted to our by accreditation bodies, statutory authorities and collaborating organizations.
To establish business and marketing initiatives for promoting our services within India including monitoring and analysis of market competitive forces.
The GENERAL MANAGER has total responsibility to grant the certification to the companies after checking all the compliances of the certification scheme. He authorizes the issue of certificates to companies upon confirmation of the compliance of all audit and procedural requirements by TC, as per our Certification Scheme.
To suspend, withdraw or reduce the scope Certification as per our Policy Manual.
To organize internal audits of certification procedures and activities not under the jurisdiction of Quality Manager e.g. Functions of the Quality Manager.
To undertake QMS/EMS/OHSAS/ISMS assessments, as & when required.
To schedule the conduct of Management Review Meetings.
Plan Internal Audit, Management Review & Impartiality Committee meetings as defined in the Procedure Manual, as per requirement of ISO 17021 & Accreditation Board Requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
(UG - B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization, B.Sc - Any Specialization) OR (PG- Any Post Graduate - Any Specialization) AND (Doctorate- Any Doctorate - Any Specialization, Doctorate Not Required)
B. Tech or Post Graduate degree from reputed Institute.
Lead Auditor: QMS, EMS, OHSAS, ISMS, MD-QMS, ISMS
Language requirement: well verse in English & Hindi
Experience: Minimum 8 years experience including 3 years experience in reputed Certification Body or Experience of Minimum 200 Audit Man-days comprising minimum 10 man-days in each standard i.e. QMS, EMS, OHSAS, FSMS, MD-QMS, ISMS.
Detailed understanding of the requirements of the Accreditation Board.
Must have a valid Passport.
