General Manager - Operations

Job purpose:

In charge of the day-to-day operations to ensure success of all projects. To lead and manage the Operations team to help achieve the goals and objectives of the firm To monitor the financial feasibility and commercial terms of the projects. To maintain long term clients by meeting their requirements and developing strategic relationships.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Strategic planning to ensure productivity, efficiency, and timely delivery of all projects.

- Manage the operations function and utilization of resources to meet revenue/ gross margin projections as per budget/target.

- Maintain healthy availability of Installation teams on regular basis keeping in mind the expected deliveries from factory to various sites by coordinating with existing Ops team members across all levels. Identify, recruit, and develop top talent.

- Meet the Quarterly and Annual Sales targets by ensuring that work front is available on jobs that have been won by our Sales Team members and ensure a consistent and timely flow of Orders to RW Production Facility. Interaction with in house Sales and Design team members as well as with Architects and PMC must be done on Pro Active basis to achieve these goals.

- Forecast a pipeline of Orders that can or will be released to Production Facility with sufficient margin for delays of some orders to ensure that factory consistently has a healthy pipeline of orders to work on.

- Work closely with the Factory Head as well as the concerned Sales team member to achieve both Production Efficiency and Customer Satisfaction in terms of timely

- Manage and assist in the smooth flow of information between departments using appropriate communication channels and interpersonal skills.

- Involved in managing job cost analysis to ensure consistent profitably on all jobs, to identify and make improvements where needed and maintain competitive edge.

- Manage client relationships to achieve Customer satisfaction and repeat business. Ensure project status report is regularly shared with clients. Address and resolve client grievances.

- Maintain high employee satisfaction within the Operations Team to ensure retention and career progression.

- Execution of Company's 3-5-10 year goals in line with the company's vision and values.

- Create and regularly update Operations SOPs

- Continuous resource management through planning and project management and software tools

- Analyse general business and economic conditions and their impact on operations

- Monitor ground level reporting and documentation, present a monthly MIS.

- Ensure timely collections.

- Establish Team focus by communicating goals, supporting the values of the organization.

- Develop team by delegating responsibilities, providing continuous feedback, and assisting in conflict resolution.

- Maintain a safe workspace by enforcing standards and procedures in compliance with H&S and legal regulations.

- Lead organizational change initiatives by establishing structure and culture transformation.

Qualifications:

- Civil Engineer with MBA and project operations management /key account management skills

- Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are a must.

- Excellent organizational, team building and leadership skills.

- Proven ability in problem solving and negotiation.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Project Management tools

- Ability to multi-task

- Goals and result oriented.-
