- Responsible for leading the 3D modelling and simulation activities. Leading the team of Mechanical and thermal engineers within the organization
- 3D Modelling and simulation: knowledge of various 3D modelling software, cooling system, simulation and material science. Review of initial design documentation and BOM and use them to build PoC or prototypes. Ensure product design to meet DFM, DFA and DFS.
- Thermal: Thermal calculations and modelling, simulation and interpretation of results including defining the boundary conditions for the various simulations. High level understanding on electrical schematic, load calculations and understanding on various compliances is preferred
- Software: Responsible for selecting, defining and creating an innovative software architecture of the TMS, modelling and simulaiton testing
- Mechanical: In-depth knowledge of different materials, tools and production methods, welding technology, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding tools etc.
- Regulatory Requirements: Having good understanding on various automotive standards will be added advantage
- Responsible for intelligent integration of technologies, materials and concepts as it of crucial importance for the function of this role as battery assemblies need to be very compact and volume efficient. Design for Manufacturing is of great importance in this function.
- Responsible for the development of Proof of concepts (PoC), fully functional prototypes and responsible for testing and validation. Close co-ordination with cross functional team and responsible for the execution activities for the product development, within the given timeline.
Ideal Candidate:-
- B.Tech/M.Tech - Material Science/Mechanical/Thermal Dynamics with 18 -22 years- experience in Battery, Automotive, Computational Fluid Dynamics.
- Should have experience in Building up a R&D, setting up of the Lab, selection of key R&D Equipment & Software.
- Should have good experience in developing the PoC, DFM,DFA, DFS and arrive at the BoM
- Should be experienced in Thermal Calculations and TMS software architecture.
- Should have good knowledge of Material, Tools, Production Methods, Welding Technology, Sheet Metal Fabrication, injection moulding tools etc.
- Knowledge about various Automotive standards will be an added advantage
- Experienced in development of Proof of Concept, Functional Prototypes, testing and validation
- Should be willing to work out of Bangalore.
