GM - Marketing & Communication (BPO/ITES)

- You will lead the Marketing & Communication function & will play a lead role in managing the demand generation activities, branding, analyst & advisory relations, thought leadership content development, and solution marketing.

- You will be responsible for creating measurable business opportunities for Sales using the most impactful marketing activities. They will work with global sales teams to establish the best marketing strategy for the different industries that are targeted.

Key Responsibilities -

MARKETING:

- Accountable for marketing contribution to sales pipeline and revenue.

- Owns the Demand Generation plan and creates it in consultation with the Regional Sales teams

- Enables the team to efficiently execute multi-channel marketing (Events, search, social, digital advertising.) and leverage modern marketing tools and techniques (orchestration, audience management, etc.).

- Develop the analyst and advisory relations to establish its presence as a preferred thought leader among leading analyst and advisory firms.

- Work closely with services and CoE teams to strategize on services and solutions positioning, market validation, messaging, and roadmap development to ensure strong industry endorsement and new business development.

- Establish thought leadership to ensure its vision of an industry leader, services, solutions, and new launches.

- Leverage insights to monitor program results and adapt strategy and execution as required.

- Ensure continuous optimization of marketing activities by reviewing and improving content and tactics.

- Build and motivate a high-performance team of marketing professionals. Ensures that the team has the competencies and ability to address current needs.

COMMUNICATION:

- Design and implement strategic communication initiatives that include print and radio media, digital and social media channels and niche communications to increase the visibility and understanding of the institution's vision and purpose.

- Actively engage, cultivate, and manage press relationships to secure coverage surrounding the programmes, special events, public announcements, and other projects.

- Proactively identify opportunities for engagement and influence by being current with developments that relate to all key stakeholders and partners.

- Lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of the brand guidelines.

- Manage the external surveys that evaluate the attitudes, opinions and aspirations of the stakeholders and partners.

- Review the governance standards and operational protocols for the sign-off on all corporate communications emanating from the institution, to ensure that quality assurance is maintained, and brand guidelines are adhered to.

- Develop a calendar for external speaking engagements for key personnel and assist in the preparation of speeches for senior executives.

- Champion communications throughout the institution to ensure that communication considerations form an integral part of policymaking, project designs, visits, and tours by the senior management.

- Work with management to develop internal communications programmes and processes required to support organisational change and employee engagement initiatives.

- Develop and/or conduct media and communications training for staff and assist in the development of 'brown bag' educational programmes.

- Build a communications team that can 'take charge' of key deliverables.

Qualification And Experience:

1. MBA with 15 years- experience in progressively challenging marketing & communications positions with a BPO/ITES Industry.

2. Exceptional research, writing, editing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

3. Strong diplomatic and persuasive skills.

4. Demonstrated ability to manage reputational risk.

5. A successful track record of managing new media and digital channels, including website development.

6. Proven record of forging strong and effective relationships within the media environment and with internal stakeholders.

7. Sensitivity to the regional, international and multicultural environments in which the institution operates.

8. Proven project management skills.

9. Experience leading teams and providing work direction to others.

10. Experience managing external vendor relationships and effectively negotiating prices and services.

11. Experience in event management.

12. Proficient in handling internal/external brand building and communication activities and prioritizing against tight deadlines.

13. Experience in selection and managing execution partners such as PR, Digital and creative agency for agreed SLA.

14. Experience in designing & executing PR, Events and BTL led communication strategies. Own and lead campaign design and delivery to meet ROI.

15. An out of the box thinker with the flair of charting out corporate communication and branding strategies.

Excellent writing and editing skills required.

16. Strong interpersonal skills.

17. Creative flair and enthusiasm for new ideas and concepts.

18. Flair for content creation.

19. Commitment to producing top quality work, on time, within specifications, and on budget.

20. Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

21. General knowledge of various communications vehicles, including print, video, electronic, etc.

22. Strong creative and graphic design sense, knowledge of design software (Adobe Creative Suite) a plus.

23. Ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams.

24. Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

25. Attention to detail and accuracy.

26. Demonstrate good skills in advising and influencing stakeholders on different communications strategies to engage employees.
