The below role is for one of our Group clients in Chennai (with a Group Turnover of more than 5000 crores)

Purpose of this Role:

- To Manage the DEL services department consisting Distribution,

- Export & Import, and Logistics for the Group of companies .

- To ensure the HOD's will get proper guidance & support for cost effective Logistics systems,

- Statutory compliances and highly customer focused approach.

Responsibilities of this role

Strategic :

1. Finalise the annual Budget for DEL departments Revenue & Capex.

2. Selection of Logistics Service providers.

3. A decision on Warehouse location & CFA appointment across the country.

4. Finalization of Contracts for Import & Exports Freight forwarders.

5. Manpower Planning & Effective utilization of resources.

6. Suggest the top management on effective cost control measures & techniques

7. Constant study on the International Logistics and update the team & senior management.

8. Bring changes in the present systems & process to develop the customer-focused team.

9. Develop & nurture the strong service providers base existing in the group for 2025 foresight.

Operational :

1. Managing the DEL services team with high integrity & motivations.

2. Driving cost-saving projects across DEL departments. & crisis management.

3. Develop Global Logistics practices, systems & processes in DEL departments.

4. Strict implementation of service providers performance monitorinthe g & remuneration system

5. Create competitive spirit among the team for better performance.

6. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, PPC & Plant CEOs for smooth delivery of Logistics services.

7. Excellent liaison with Customs, DGFT, Govt. Agencies for smooth operations.

8.Exposure to scientific management tools in Supply Chain Management.

10. Conversant with all relevant commercial laws around taxation, GST, contract act, FTA, FTP, the Export incentives.

11. Support the reporting Head on special projects & Tasks.

12. Audit Report corrective action monitoring & implementation.

UNIQUE ACCOUNTABILITY

1. Negotiate & finalize Logistics contract for DEL departments.

2. 100% compliance on Statutory regulations related to EXIM.

3. 100% accuracy in Warehouse inventory across the country.

4. Selection & appointment of CFA/ CHA/ FF/ Liners/ Transporters. 5. DC finalization and relocation decisions.

SHARED ACCOUNTABILITY

1. Implementing CIP programs in DEL dept.

2. Implementing Audit best practices in DC's.

3. Inventory control with close coordination with Sales.

4. Collection of scrap batteries with Sales / Purchase support.

5. Monitor Payment process for service providers, stakeholders.

- Minimum Age: 45 years & Max. 48 years

- Minimum Qualification: B.Com / M. Com & MBA (supply chain )

- Minimum Exp. : 20- 25 years experience in SCM

Type of Experience required for this role

- Experience in Warehouse management, Domestic & International Logistics operations is a Must.

- Highly result oriented and team player will be the right candidate.

- Apart from Logistics, Exposure of EXIM statutory regulations & customs liaison will help the position to meet the expectations.

- Minimum Rs.150 - 200 crores annual logistics budget spending candidate will be right candidate for this position.
