Position : GM – IT (MFG & SCM)
Reports to : Senior Director IT (Mfg R&D)
Supervises :
- SAP APO Team – 3 Senior Managers + 2 Managers
- Plant IT Team– 2 Senior Managers (DF + API) + 6 Managers
Experience :
Total 9-12 years, including
- 3-4 years in APO/ Supply chain domain
- 3-4 years in IT Project management
- Manufacturing, Pharma, Chemical, FMCG, industries prefered
Education :
- B.E.
- MBA (Operations preferred)
- CPIM/CSCP/PMP preferred
Position Summary
Accountabilities:
·Accountable for implementing the IT strategy and Vision for Mfg
- Ensure that all IT projects in Mfg and Supply Chain (SCM) are implemented in a compliant manner on time and on budget.
- Responsible for people development and ensure appropriately skilled IT team is available to support business
- Enable following functions with suitable System-based Planning solutions
- Supply Chain Management
Manufacturing
Implement System-based Planning solutions to add strategic advantage to the organization by
- Increasing throughput of manufacturing facilities
- Optimum manufacturing resources utilization
- Effective inventory management
- Enhancing customer service
Dimension:
- Markets (Countries) for which planning done in APO: 50+
- Plants where SAP PP is implemented: 10+
- Plants where planning is done in APO: 5+
- Maintenance Budget: 8 Cr INR
- Team strength, including support staff: 60+
Job Profile
- Value Harvesting: Add value to business by effective utilization of the IT systems in the processes; this may extend to incorporate changes to current processes, to be identified by working closely with business.
- Successful utilization of IT Solutions at the manufacturing plants.
- Ensure successful execution of Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing solutions on appropriate systems (Covers process improvements, functional or systemic).
- Identify and test new solutions/products that are relevant for business requirements.
- Support: Meet or Exceed Internal Service Level Agreements Identified for support. Improve customer management process and perception
- Build a self-supporting model for most IT systems in purview through user training, identification of super users and IT support.
- Remain updated with business decisions by regular interactions with the key stakeholders in Business Functions at relevant forums.
- Remain updated with new developments in the functional and technology domain.
- Team/People Development:
- Continue to build a highly skilled and motivated team, securing the best talent available, establishing clear expectations, providing coaching & effective behavioural feedback, as well as individualized development programs.
- Prepare others to assume new and increased responsibilities in the future. Build an organization that is training ground for future Ranbaxy IT leaders.
- Vendor Management: Develop a vendor portfolio to cater to different requirements.

Competencies Required:
- Technical Competencies: Supply Chain Management processes, Manufacturing processes, SAP BIW (High Level), SAP APO
- Behavioral Competencies: Communication skills, Inter-personal skills, Persuasive skills, Analytical skills.
