General Manager - Human Resources

Position Overview:

The General Manager of Human Resources (HR) plays a critical role in overseeing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization. They are responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to attract, retain, and develop a high-performing workforce. This position requires strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of HR principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's overall objectives and goals.

- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

- Collaborate with senior management to anticipate and address HR issues and challenges.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent.

- Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to integrate new employees into the organization.

- Implement performance management systems to evaluate employee performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote positive employee relations and resolve conflicts effectively.

- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievances.

- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations to minimize legal risks.

Training and Development:

- Identify training and development needs within the organization and develop programs to address them.

- Implement career development initiatives to support employee growth and advancement.

- Foster a culture of learning and development to enhance employee skills and capabilities.

HR Administration and Compliance:

- Oversee HR administration processes, including payroll, benefits administration, and record-keeping.

- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing employment practices.

- Implement and maintain HRIS systems to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

- 8+ years of progressive experience in HR management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

- The General Manager of Human Resources plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's culture, driving employee engagement, and supporting the achievement of its strategic objectives.
