Key Responsibilities :-
1. Boundary Management: Ensure peaceful and harmonious Industrial Relations/Employee Relations by effectively managing the workforce, trade union, and external agencies to facilitate uninterrupted and smooth Mine operation.
2. Liaising with Government Agencies, External Stakeholders & Pressure Groups.
3. Legal Matters: Ensure successful closure of Cases in Conciliation and adjudication.
4. Disciplinary Matters: Ensure a disciplined work environment and deal effectively with misconducts in employment.
5. Statutory Compliance: Ensure conformance to statutory legislation and avoid their violation.
6. Contract Labour Mgmt: Ensure engagement of contractors/ Contract Workers in legal way and fulfillment of statutory obligation by them.
7. Time Office: Effective administration of Time Office and co-ordination for timely payment of wages/salary to staff, workmen.
8. Grievance Handling: Effective handling of grievances through grievance mechanism in a justified and reasonable manner to satisfy the employee.
Key Performance Indicator:
- The person needs to have a good IR background to deal with ground level issues at the Plant - experience to all IR scenarios - Handling Unions, Signing of Wage settlements, Statutory compliance and Union negotiations etc. is important.
- Thorough understanding of labour laws
- Drafting Skills and high level of interpersonal skills
- Handling stressful situations
- The person should have exposure to Employee Relations, Employee engagement, Performance Management systems, Recruitment, Training, Statutory and compliance and other HR related areas.
- The candidate must know the local language.
