Job title : General Manager-HR
Job Purpose :
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all the HR operations and strategies within a company.
Key Elements of the Role :
Induction :
- Ensuring the completion of all required formalities before joining of the candidate
- Briefing the new recruits about the organisation's policies, timings, leave formalities, etc.
- Preparing the Induction schedule
On boarding & Facility Management :
- Joining Formalities - ID card, Bank Account, Visiting Card, Laptop, Calculator, Notepad, Biometrics
- Have made a checklist for all the support verticals to ensure well-oiled joining process
Performance Management :
- Defining KRA's & KPI's for each vertical
- Designing a compensation & reward system for planned & achieved performance during the financial year
- Method used is MBO for last year & this year we are trying to gauge on Bell Curve
Payroll and Statutory Compliance :
- Salary Processing
- Market Survey for various reasons like Salary Restructure, Bonus Distribution etc.
- To solicit suggestions for improvement in productivity, simplification of processes and cost reduction.
- Shop Act License Registration & renewal of license.
Training & Development :
- Charting training calendar based on plans and managing entire training session
- Refresher Training Programme to help all the employees in garnishing their personality, Communication skills & behaviour.
Welfare activities :
- Organizing drives and campaigns like medical/ dental check ups
- Organizing Workshop, Seminars, debates, Indoor Games, Cricket Annual Day celebrations
- Preparation and distribution of Birthday Cards/gift, Diwali gift etc.
MIS & HR Metrics :
- Preparing a structured organization chart,- reporting system.
- Expertise in using Windows Excel (Pivot Table, Vlookup, Hlookup and other mathematical tools)
- Monthly MIS Report
- Worked on few HR Metrics
- Attrition Analysis
Employee Relations and Employee Engagement :
- Grievance Handling.
- Disciplinary Action
- Initiated employee engagement activities like Employee Satisfaction Survey
Framing of Policies :
- Adept in making HR Policies - Leave Policies, Comp off, Reimbursement policy, Conveyance policy, Mobile & Laptop policy, Ethics Policy etc.
Exit & Separations :
- Conducting Exit Interviews.
- Ensuring timely Full & Final Settlement & reliving letters.
Recruitment :
- To consistently check for the manpower requisition on floor/all verticals
- Talent Acquisition - Across positions (Junior level - Senior Management Hiring)
- Recruitment using contemporary tools
- Use of aptitude testing in recruitment for key positions
- Interacting with placement agencies and shortlisting candidates for interviews
- Interviewing and Short listing appropriate candidates for final interview
- After finalization and selection, initiating pre-joining formalities of offer letter
- Salary negotiation, coordinating with Vertical Heads & issuing offer letters.
Educational Qualification :
- A Graduate in any discipline from a reputed university/Institute recognized by UGC/AICTE preferably with an additional qualification in MBA - HR or Equivalent would be highly preferred.
Experience :
Essential :
- 12+ years experience in HR operations and strategies profile
