General Manager/Head - Product Engineering - Telecom

GM-Head Product Engineering (system architecture on 5G and FWA) with Top Telecom vendor.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for driving bundle devices portfolio for complete lifecycle management covering Broadband devices ( WiFi APs, WiFi ONTs, Fixed Wireless Access Devices ) , Video Devices ( Android and Zapper STBs ) and IoT devices ( IP Cameras and Industrial IoT devices )

- Lead discussion with internal stakeholders on needs and viability of devices from technical and commercial perspective

- Manage a team of product managers, hardware and software engineers, validation SMEs and supply chain experts to orchestrate development and mass production of devices. This role will also be responsible for strengthening systems engineering/architecture capabilities for devices across S/W, Hardware using a combination of on roll engineers and 3rd party partners

- Drive overall systems engineering / design for devices in partnership with ODM, internal teams and third party system integrator

- Build and manage relationships with key partners in the ecosystem such as ODMs, System Integrators/Independent Software Vendors and Semiconductor companies to drive them towards vision for devices

- Responsible for monitoring of devices and their performance in the field/customers to continuously improve the experience and design quality

- Work with business teams to monitor devices' deployment and take-off trends and manage engineering and production roadmap with partner ecosystem

- Drive manufacturing partners to setup India-based production and sustenance of devices

Skills and Experience:

- Proven track record of driving hardware-based products such as WiFi APs, ONTs, 5G/4G devices ( Fixed Wireless Access Devices, MiFi, IoT devices, Smartphones), STB, cameras etc

- Demonstrable experience of having built and managed teams

- Strong experience in vendor management, relationship management with hardware/software design and manufacturing ecosystem

- An Engineering/Management graduate with 20+ years' experience
