Position: General Manager - Human Resources
Location: Ahmedabad
Experience: 20-25 years
Reporting to: Business Head
This position is a senior managerial position and the incumbent will be responsible for the overall Human resources functions, training and development of team members, employee relations and administrative functions relating to the plant. He will also be responsible for the team located across the country
Main Duties & Responsibilities :
- Should have good knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.
- Should have Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
- Implementing and revising a company's compensation program
- Creating and revising job descriptions
- Conducting annual salary surveys
- Developing, analyzing, and updating the company's salary budget
- Developing, analyzing and updating the company's evaluation program/ Talent management systems
- Developing, revising, and recommending personnel policies and procedures
- Maintaining and revising the company's handbook on policies and procedures
- Performing benefits administration
- Maintaining affirmative action programs
- Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, including writing and placing job ads, if required
- Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
- Overseeing/ conducting exit interviews
- Maintaining department records and reports
- Participating and advising in administrative staff meetings
- Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
- Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures
- To take care of all training and development of the team members
- Instilling the culture of learning among the team members
- Motivate them in employee development and
- Plan and organise training programs and facilitate team members to complete their professional development objectives
Experience & Qualifications :
- A post graduate Degree with specialization in Human Resources and employee relations
- A Law degree will be preferred
- Good English communication skill, both written and spoken
- Should have good computer skill
- Should be conversant with the labour Laws applicable to the factory
- Should be familiar to the rules applicable to the factory particularly in Gujarat
- Should liaise with the Government officials of Labour department and other related departments like; pollution control board, GIDC officials, revenue officials, Inspector of Factories and so on
- A good understanding of the various human relations aspects
- Should have the ability to relate to people
- Creativity and innovative thinking in problem solving
- Good Presentation and interpersonal skills
- Experience of international / emerging markets may be advantageous
- Should possess excellent decision-making, strategic thinking, leadership, interpersonal and ethical conduct skills. Must be well-educated in the field of Human Resources Management.
- Should have experience in Handling union and entering into settlement, thorough knowledge of disciplinary procedure, etc.
- Should be able to write and speak Gujarati
