General Manager Finance- Pharma Industry
Looking for a young, dynamic finance leader
1. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Prepare annual budgets and long-term financial plans for the pharmaceutical company
- Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
2. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory authorities
3. Treasury and Working Capital Management:
- Manage the company's cash flows, liquidity, and funding requirements
- Negotiate and maintain banking relationships for credit facilities, trade finance, and other financial instruments
- Optimize working capital cycles and manage accounts receivable and payable
4. Cost and Profitability Analysis:
- Perform in-depth analysis of manufacturing costs, product pricing, and overall profitability
- Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements
- Provide financial insights to support pricing decisions and product mix strategies
5. Investment and Capital Expenditure Decisions:
- Evaluate investment proposals and capital expenditure plans
- Conduct feasibility studies and financial due diligence
- Manage the capital budgeting process and monitor the implementation of approved projects
6. Merger, Acquisition, and Divestment Support:
- Assist in the financial evaluation of potential merger and acquisition targets
- Provide financial modeling and valuation support during the transaction process
- Ensure smooth integration and post-merger financial consolidation
7. Talent Management and Organizational Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering their professional growth
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Master's in Finance/MBA with specialization in Finance
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of financial management, taxation, and regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical sector
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
- Proficient in using financial software and data analysis tools
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
