This position would be based in Nairobi ( Kenya). This is for our Client who is Manufacturer of plastic packaging products.
Job Designation : General Manager
Position Overview :
- The General Manager (GM) would have primary responsibility of over all Finance and would also oversee the Sales and HR for the organization.
- This role is created to streamline and enhance performance in these critical areas.
- Reporting directly to the Promoter, the GM will ensure that financial health of the company is maintained and Client Satisfaction Scores are being met.
- The Manufacturing Department would report directly to the Promoter.
Key Responsibilities :
Finance Management :
Financial Planning :
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support the company's strategic goals.
Financial Reporting :
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Performance Monitoring :
- Monitor and manage the company's financial performance, including profitability, cash flow, and expenditures.
Policy Development :
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets.
Audit Coordination :
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process, ensuring all financial activities are transparent and accountable.
- Sales Management
Strategic Planning :
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet organizational revenue and growth objectives.
Team Leadership :
- Manage the sales team, providing direction, training, and performance evaluations to ensure targets are met.
Market Analysis :
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, keeping abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape.
Client Relations :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Reporting :
- Analyze sales metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to the Promoter.
- Integration and Collaboration:
- Cross-Functional Leadership : Work closely with other department heads, especially the Manufacturing Head, to ensure cohesive and aligned operational execution.
- Stakeholder Communication : Act as a key point of contact between the sales and finance departments and the Promoter, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Strategic Initiatives : Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes at the senior management level, contributing to the overall direction of the company.
Key Qualifications :
Education : CA is preferred / MBA Finance with good Experience of 8 Plus years in Finance.
Experience :
- 10 plus years of experience in a senior leadership role encompassing finance responsibilities.
Skills :
- Strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and strategic thinking skills.
Knowledge :
- In-depth knowledge of sales processes, financial management, budgeting, and analysis.
Interpersonal Skills :
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
