General Manager/ Director (Business Development) - EPC/ Infrastructure/Steel
- Bring about a generational shift in the business fortunes of the company by catalysing its growth physically and financially without losing focus on the bottom line.
- Analyse and lead management decision on business growth
- Leverage business networks to generate new business for the company
- Identify customer and potentials, gather business intelligence, make business calls and translate the process into business for the company.
- Build key customer relationships, identifies, negotiates and closes business deals.
- Participate in techno-commercial discussions and negotiations, Tenders/ Pre-Bids
- Technical Presentations & Personal Visits to the CLIENT location
- Ensures efficient interaction with all client stakeholders such as real estate, finance, procurement, IT and other service heads and has an in-depth experience that is leveraged for high quality jobs and for timely deliveries. Working closely with the Senior management to support process implementation.
- Preparing future business plan with target clients and potential revenue.
- Preparing the strategy to retain existing clients.
- Conduct market research to identify pipeline. Approach new clients and present offerings.
- Perform competition analysis; connect with competitor clients; find gaps and convert to revenue.
- Coordinate amongst external architects; Liasoning consultants; brokers; tenants; on site construction team and remove gaps.
- Prepare high level budget, timeline, sequencing of projects from inception till handover.
Qualification And Experience:
i. BE & MBA with Minimum 15+ Years of Sales Experience in EPC or Infrastructure or Steel Industry with an MNC or a Leading Industrial Conglomerate (The above services are offered in the areas of IT Parks, Retail Malls, Hotels/Resorts, Urban Infrastructure, Townships, Airport and MRT related real estate, Industrial Parks, SEZ- s, Hospitals & Residential etc).
ii. Should have proven track record of independently getting projects from the clients
iii. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
iv. Ability to effectively present information.
v. Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles.
vi. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
vii. Ability to comprehend, analyses, and interpret complex documents.
viii. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
ix. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
x. Ability to monitor and coordinate all types of projects with limited or indirect supervision.
xi. Ability to write reports, manuals speeches, and articles using a distinctive style.
xii. Decisions made with a thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.
