Job Description -

Role: General Manager- Direct Tax

Reports to: Head Tax

Location: Bangalore

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The role is responsible for providing support to Head of Tax on Direct Tax and advise on compliance and financial issues related to direct tax matters TYPICAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Qualification: - CA

Experience: - 10 - 12 years post qualification experience - Experience of working in an India listed entity

Knowledge & skills: 

- Strong knowledge of tax laws with specific relevance to alco-bev industry 

- Demonstrated ability to navigate in finance environments where laws can be unclear and judicial system not always robust

 - Previous experience in effectively and efficiently managing taxation

Best Suited for Someone with 

- Ability to deal with authorities, auditors and other regulators 

- Ability to manage key stakeholders within the organization 

- Ability to think through complex situations and come up solutions 

- Ability to analyze complex data, draw connections and advocate a coherent strategy for improvement 

- Ability to handle large value & complex litigations, with constraints
