Position Brief: GM Corporate Communications will be responsible for planning and executing the company's corporate communication efforts. She/He will work closely with the executive leadership team to enhance our corporate reputation, strengthen brand awareness, and effectively communicate the company's strategic initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communication: Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communication strategy that aligns with the company's goals and values.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers. Act as the spokesperson for the company when required.
- Brand Management: Oversee brand positioning and messaging, ensuring consistency across all communication channels and materials.
- Crisis Management: Lead crisis communication efforts, providing clear and timely communication during challenging situations.
- Public Relations: Plan and execute PR campaigns to increase the company's visibility and positive public image.
- Content Development: Supervise the creation of press releases, articles, speeches, and other communication materials.
- Social Media Management: Manage the company's social media presence, ensuring it reflects the brand's image and engages with the target audience.
- Budget Management: Responsible for the corporate communication budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies and activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of communication professionals, setting clear goals and ensuring their professional growth.
- Measurement and Analytics: Implement systems to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and provide regular reports to the executive team.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media.
- One should have been associated with MNC/ leading Indian organisations
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in corporate communications.
- Crisis management and issues handling experience.
- Strong network of media contacts.
- Proficiency in using communication and analytics tools.
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
